Horseback riding gently and rhythmically moves the rider's body in a soothing manner similar to the human walking gait. Riders with physical disabilities show improvement in flexibility, balance and muscle strength. Individuals with almost any cognitive, physical and/or emotional disability can benefit from therapeutic riding.
What are the results?
Results include: Added physical strength through exercise, improved balance, sharpened hand/eye coordination, improved self-image, improved confidence, improved stimulation of muscles and internal structures, encourages emotional bonding, promotes smiles, laughter, and accomplishment.
What does it cost to ride? How long is a riding session?
Cost: $20 per session OR $60 per month (4 weeks - 1 ride/week) Payment Plans: Available. Riding Session: Tuesday (9 am - 7 pm) and Thursday (9 am - 6:30 pm) Length of Session: 30 minutes (includes mounting and dismounting) Lesson Plans: Created specifically for the individual Missed Sessions: 24 hour notice required (no reimbursement without notice)
Are you ever closed? SAFETY FIRST....We do close. Those conditions:
Sand Springs and/or Tulsa Public Schools closed due to bad weather, we close. 32 degrees or below: If moisture is falling and freezing, we close. 98 degrees or above: If the arena is too hot, we close. Storm Warnings, we close (lightening is close by and/or warnings have been issued). Note: If questionable, call our office prior to travelling.
